About the Brochure
Citizens for Midwifery is proud to make available a brochure about the Midwives
Model of Care. The brochure presents the Midwives Model of Care in terms of what
a "consumer" can expect from a caregiver who provides this kind of care, with headings
like "respectful treatment," "personal attention," "plenty of information," "appropriate
monitoring," "natural techniques for comfort," etc.
The latest version of the brochure, published in May, 2001, includes the complete
text of the popular original (1999) brochure, but with a new "look." The new Midwives
Model of Care logo design is featured, with a background of curving forms in soft
blues and greens, accented with several small four color photos. A blank space on
the back lets birth professionals advertise their services or state organizations
promote their groups.
The brochure also is available in Spanish in the original format - dark brown and
a lovely red-brown on cream paper, with beautiful photos.
